GN Hearing and its flagship brand, ReSound, have launched ReSound Enzo IA, the company’s latest super-power hearing aid family that blends advanced AI-driven speech clarity, all-day rechargeable battery performance, and next-gen Bluetooth streaming—all packaged in what is billed as the industry’s smallest rechargeable design for this type of device. Built for people with severe-to-profound hearing loss, Enzo IA addresses one of the toughest challenges in this category—understanding speech in noisy environments—without compromising comfort, aesthetics, or battery life.
AI-Driven Speech in Noise Technology
At the heart of the Enzo IA is GN’s Intelligence Augmented™ (IA) platform, powered by the same core 360 chip found in ReSound Vivia. Using machine learning, the device analyzes sound in real time to classify and adapt its processing automatically to the surrounding environment, yielding the best all-around listening experience. This continual optimization, in conjunction with GN's Organic Hearing philosophy, is designed to reduce the listening effort that often accompanies severe-to-profound hearing loss, making conversations easier and less fatiguing.
ReSound Enzo IA also allows users to access the latest technologies available, including advanced noise management and the world’s leading feedback (device whistling) management system that provides the most added stable gain, according to ReSound.

Although significantly larger than ReSound Vivia, the new Enzo IA Super Power hearing aids are compact and stylish for their product category.
In especially challenging environments, Enzo IA’s Clear Focus technology engages what is reportedly the hearing industry’s narrowest beamformer, locking onto speech from the front while minimizing competing sounds. GN reports that this approach delivers a 2.7 dB improvement in signal-to-noise ratio (SNR) above legacy super-power devices and earns a 93% preference rating among users when listening in noisy conditions.
Chief Audiology Officer Laurel Christensen, PhD, told HearingTracker: “What truly excites us about ReSound Enzo IA is its transformative impact for individuals with severe to profound hearing loss. We've delivered exceptional speech understanding, even in challenging environments, by leveraging our unique Intelligence Augmented approach and the industry's narrowest beamformer, Clear Focus. This, combined with the world's smallest rechargeable Super Power design offering all-day battery life and seamless Bluetooth LE Audio and Auracast connectivity, means users no longer have to compromise.”
However, unlike ReSound Vivia, Enzo IA does not have a separate dedicated chip for Deep Neural Network (DNN) processing. GN says it did not include a dedicated DNN chip, as it was not required to deliver what matters most to these users. Instead, Enzo IA's development was guided by “four non-negotiable priorities” that entail superior:
- Hearing in noise performance
- All-day battery life (which is paramount for super-power hearing aid wearers)
- High gain (amplification), and
- Connectivity.
Enzo AI comes in 10 colors and is available in three technology levels (9, 7, and 5).
Excellent Battery Life with Bluetooth LE Streaming and Auracast
Despite its powerful output, ReSound says the Enzo IA is the smallest rechargeable Super Power hearing aid on the market. A single charge provides up to 28 hours of use—or 20 hours when streaming media half the time—eliminating the need to change batteries during the day and giving wearers more independence, especially when on the go.

Enzo IA is also the first Super Power hearing aid to support Bluetooth® Low Energy (LE) Audio and Auracast™ broadcast audio. This future-facing technology enables users to connect directly to public audio streams through their smartphones using the ReSound Smart 3D™ app. Additional accessories, including the Multi-Mic+ (with telecoil) and TV-Streamer+, expand listening possibilities at events and at home. Users can pair two devices simultaneously and answer phone calls with a simple tap of the hearing aid.

Major Refinements Over Previous Enzo Q Power Hearing Aid
Enzo IA succeeds the ReSound Enzo Q, a super-power model introduced in 2019 that combined high levels of gain (amplification), clear sound quality, and reliable noise management features like Binaural Directionality and NoiseTracker 2. Enzo Q also offered Bluetooth streaming support, remote fine-tuning, and compatibility with popular accessories, making it a dependable choice for those with the most demanding hearing needs. The older product will still be available on a market-by-market basis, with Resound tailoring its offerings to meet the specific needs and preferences of each region.
Dr. Christensen says that with Enzo IA, GN has preserved the core strengths of Enzo Q while pushing forward in key areas: the all-day rechargeability with 28 hours of battery life, significantly better hearing in noise, and the cutting-edge Bluetooth LE and Auracast connectivity. She says Enzo IA also represents a significant leap forward in sound quality and user experience, specifically addressing the critical need for powerful amplification without sacrificing comfort or modern connectivity. For current Enzo Q wearers, the Enzo IA offers a natural upgrade path to a more compact, intelligent, and future-ready device.
“At GN, we've engaged deeply with people facing severe to profound hearing loss to understand what truly makes a difference for them,” said GN Hearing Division President Peter Justesen in a press statement. “With ReSound Enzo IA, you can have it all—we're empowering people to access the sounds that matter most, enabling them to participate confidently in conversations and stay connected with loved ones, without having to accept compromises in terms of size or battery life.”
“These life-changing hearing aids have transformed my world; without them, I wouldn't hear anything,” said Helen Cherry, an Enzo IA user. “Seemingly small technological advancements represent significant improvements that greatly enhance the daily lives of those of us with severe to profound hearing loss. ReSound Enzo IA has enriched my entire auditory experience in ways I never thought possible.”

ReSound Enzo IA is available in 10 colors to match your hair color or style preference.
Historically, ReSound has a reputation for producing some of the industry's most successful power hearing aids, primarily due to its ability to provide the necessary gain before feedback (whistling). For example, ReSound contends that DFS Ultra III provides 6 dB more added stable gain than its next closest competitor. This ability to provide more gain significantly benefits super-power users by giving them greater access to the speech signal in quiet. In noise, the gain is combined with the narrow beamformer, Clear Focus, which delivers as much as 8 dB of SNR benefit, enabling Super Power users to hear more clearly in many noisy situations.
ReSound reports that Enzo IA and its Beltone equivalent, Beltone Boost™ Max S, will launch initially in the US and Germany on August 21, with more countries to follow in the coming months. For more information, please visit the ReSound and Beltone websites.
